How to Restore SCL2008 Asynchronous LED Display Controller

For single color or tri-color message LED screens, we always recommend SCL2008 asynchronous controller for the customers. Before delivery, we do the setting of the controller and save it in the controller. However, the setting may be lost when customers use their screens. And the screens can not work properly as the following picture shows.

To solve this problem, first of all, customers have to restore the controller to factory defaults. But do you know how to do this?
Please operate as the following steps to restore the SCL2008 synchronous controller to factory defaults.

1. Connect the Com1 of the controller with one of the serial ports of the control PC and power on the controller.
2. Install the SCL2008 software in your XP system control PC and open it.
3. Program some message, for example, some words, then click the button “Preview”.
4. Close the SCL2008 software.
5. Open the SCL2008Initial.exe program in the mini disk we offer you with the controller. And you will see the following interface of the Initial program.

6. Make the test jumper be of short circuit.
7. Select the Serial port of your control PC you use for the controller on the Initial program interface.
8. Click the button “HandShake” on the interface of the Initial program.
9. Power off the SCL2008 asynchronous LED screen controller.
10. Power on the controller about three seconds later.
After the above steps, the R and T indicating lights will blink. It means the controller has been restored to factory defaults. Let them keep blink for two minutes. And then the SW indicating light will be on.
After the controller has been restored to factory defaults, the next step is to do the setting of the controller according to the parameters of the LED module. This should be done by the engineers of the LED screen suppliers. Our Chipshow engineers are always ready to do the setting of the controllers for customers through internet remote control.
