To solve this problem, first of all, customers have to restore the controller to factory defaults. But do you know how to do this?

Please operate as the following steps to restore the SCL2008 synchronous controller to factory defaults.

1.       Connect the Com1 of the controller with one of the serial ports of the control PC and power on the controller.

2.       Install the SCL2008 software in your XP system control PC and open it.

3.       Program some message, for example, some words, then click the button “Preview”.

4.       Close the SCL2008 software.

5.       Open the SCL2008Initial.exe program in the mini disk we offer you with the controller. And you will see the following interface of the Initial program.

1.       Make the test jumper be of short circuit.

2.       Select the Serial port of your control PC you use for the controller on the Initial program interface.

3.       Click the button “HandShake” on the interface of the Initial program.

4.       Power off the SCL2008 asynchronous LED screen controller.

5.       Power on the controller about three seconds later.

After the above steps, the R and T indicating lights will blink. It means the controller has been restored to factory defaults. Let them keep blink for two minutes. And then the SW indicating light will be on.

After the controller has been restored to factory defaults, the next step is to do the setting of the controller according to the parameters of the LED module. This should be done by the engineers of the LED screen suppliers. Our Chipshow engineers are always ready to do the setting of the controllers for customers through internet remote control. Contact us when you have this setting problem.

When we do the after-sale service for the customers, we have this problem several times. Now I would like to share one case to show how to solve the problem.

One customer from Florida USA purchased a P20mm 2R1G1B virtual pixel LED display with resolution 160×96dots from us in September 2009. The customer did the setting of the display in their workshop before installation. He did the “Display connection” as the below picture shows.

We checked his operation through remote control software SHOWMYPC and found that his operation was correct. However, there was no change on the whole display after he clicked “Send to receiver” and “Save to receiver”. The display did not show a whole image. The customer sent us some pictures to show the problem.

We can see that there were four separate parts, because the four cabinets had not been connected into a whole display. But the operation in the software was correct. Then what was the problem?

The display can show the SCREEN 1 background. This meant that the setting of the graphic card driver and the connection of the serial port cable and DVI cable were proper. The operation of the software was also correct. But there was no change after the “display connection”. The problem should be that attribute setting can not be sent to the receivers. We asked the customer to check which RJ45 output port of the sending card he linked with the first receiver. And he told us that he used the port near the DVI port. That was the problem. There are two RJ45 output ports in the LINSN sending card. The one near the indicating lights is the only port for attribute setting. The other one is the backup port for displaying contents. Please have a look at the following picture to see the correct connection.

The customer changed the output port and the problem was solved immediately. He was very excited and sent us some pictures to show the nice performance of the P20mm LED display.

Above all, to solve the problem of display connection of LINSN control system, one important step is to make sure that you have used the RJ45 output port beside the indicating lights.

This display is the biggest outdoor fullcolor LED display in hangzhou city. It’s a P12 2R1G1B arc LED display, with 7.68M perimeter and 21.12M height. The cabinet size is 768*960MM, means the biggest LED display is made by 11 cabinet width and 22 cabinet height.

This LED display will used for outdoor advertisement,as it’s so tall and so brightness ,making the building to be a now landmark of the city.

Our LED tubes are just in the UL test, I think it’ll be passed in one or two monthes,Just waiting for our good news.
